Northeastern proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 25) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They pulled ahead with a 14-13 photo finish over the Martin County Gators. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

The critical scores for Northeastern came from Jaylin Mallory and Da'Mari Mcneill.

Northeastern's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Martin County, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-3.

Northeastern has already played their next matchup, a 21-14 loss against Pasquotank County on the 31st. As for Martin County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 29-16 victory against Hertford County on the 30th.
