Football Game Preview: Celina Bobcats vs. Pinkston Vikings + How To Watch

Celina is a perfect 4-0 against Pinkston since September of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Bobcats will head out on the road to take on the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Celina's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.

Celina is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Lake Dallas: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Bobcats blew the Falcons out of the water with a 48-7 final score. The Bobcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by 22 points or more this season.

Bowe Bentley had a dynamite game, throwing for 147 yards and five TDs on only 12 passes. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (148.3).

Celina's run defense was locked in: Lake Dallas could only muster 0.3 yards per carry. The Bobcats' ground attack was stronger, having averaged 2.5.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Pinkston, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against Conrad by a score of 28-18 on Friday.

Celina better keep an eye on Earrique Walker-Mike. He was instrumental in Pinkston's win, rushing for 55 yards and one score.

Pinkston pushed their record up to 4-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.7 points on average over those games. As for Celina, their record now sits at 10-0.

Everything came up roses for Celina against Pinkston in their previous meeting back in October of 2023, as the squad secured a 57-6 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bobcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
