Monte Vista is 8-1-1 against Livermore since February of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Monte Vista Mustangs will take on the Livermore Cowboys at 6:30 p.m. Livermore took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Monte Vista, who comes in off a win.

Last Thursday, Monte Vista had just enough and edged Amador Valley out 2-1. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Mustangs' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 225th, while the Dons are ranked 100th).

Meanwhile, Livermore was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Carondelet.

Monte Vista's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-3-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored eight goals over those three contests. As for Livermore, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10-1.

Everything went Monte Vista's way against Livermore in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as Monte Vista made off with a 4-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Monte Vista since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
