Soccer Recap: Woodville-Tompkins Falls to Groves in First Game of Season

Woodville-Tompkins unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Groves Rebels by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The matchup was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Wolverines couldn't quite close it out.

The win got Groves back to even at 1-1.

Woodville-Tompkins didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Liberty County on the 13th. Groves has also already played their next game (against New Hampstead), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
