Recap: Winters Warriors vs. Willows Honkers

The Winters Warriors scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They came out on top against Willows by a score of 60-53. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Winters also won the last time the pair played two weeks ago.

Emily Dodic was a one-man wrecking crew for Winters as she scored 22 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Dodic has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Maci Dodic, who scored 12 points.

When it comes to explaining why Willows lost, one person who can't be blamed is Connie Huttman. Despite the final result, she scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Karla Sandoval DiMaggio, who scored ten points.

Winters is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Willows, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-14.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Winters will take on the Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Live Oak has now lost 14 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 4. As for Willows, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Bears at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th. Hopefully Pierce focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Wednesday.
