Baseball Recap: Commerce Comes Up Short

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Commerce and Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy, and Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy kept the tradition alive. The Tigers fell just short of Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy by a score of 5-4 on Tuesday. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Commerce has also been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-20 record this season. As for Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy, their victory ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-16.

While Commerce had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
