Soccer Recap: Mills Comes Up Short

After flying high against Westmoor last Thursday, Mills came back down to earth. The Mills Vikings took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Piedmont Hills Pirates on Monday. The contest was a 2-2 toss-up at halftime, but the Vikings couldn't quite close it out.

Reece Roach wasn't going to let Piedmont Hills walk away unscathed as she scored both of Mills' goals, bringing her season total up to ten goals.

Mills' defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Piedmont Hills, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-6-6.

Looking ahead, Mills will take on El Camino at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Piedmont Hills, they will face off against Leigh at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Leigh's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Piedmont Hills' offense will have their work cut out for them.
