Soccer Recap: Balboa Extends Winning Streak to Three

After losing to Mission the last time they met, Balboa decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Balboa Buccaneers' defense stepped up to hand the Mission Bears a 4-0 shutout on Monday. That's two games straight that the Buccaneers have won by exactly four goals.

They hit Mission with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Alexandra Troncoso (2), Naomi Porter, and Kimberly Aguilar.

The win (which was Balboa's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three contests. As for Mission, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Balboa and Lincoln will compete for holiday cheer at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Balboa has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 16 goals over their last three games. Mission does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
