Football Recap: Dynamic Duo of Elijah Jones and Graham Helgerson Lead Jordan to Victory

Jordan waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They had just enough and edged out the Glencoe-Silver Lake Panthers 29-26. The Hubmen / Jaguars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Panthers, too.

A big part of Jordan's victory came down to the chemistry between Graham Helgerson and his top target Elijah Jones. Helgerson rushed for 44 yards and a pair of scores while Jones picked up 124 receiving yards and two TDs. Jones' longest reception was for an incredible 70 yards.

Jordan's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Glencoe-Silver Lake, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jordan will host Foley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hubmen / Jaguars will need to watch out since the Falcons have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests. As for Glencoe-Silver Lake, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
