Softball Recap: Hilldale Comes Up Short

If Hilldale was riding high fresh off their 14-0 takedown of Comanche on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hornets took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Duncan Demons on Saturday. The Hornets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Demons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Hilldale now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Duncan, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-9 record this season.

Hilldale will face off against Fort Gibson at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hornets are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Duncan, they have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Caddo on the 13th.
