Basketball Recap: Nathaniel Moore's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Englewood over KIPP Bold City

Englewood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 55-44 to the KIPP Bold City Greyhounds. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 61-43 back in December of 2024.

Englewood lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Nathaniel Moore, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. Moore is also crushing it when it comes to blocks: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Prennis Alston, who posted six points and five steals.

Englewood's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for KIPP Bold City, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-8.

Englewood has already played their next game, a 46-42 defeat against Beachside on the 31st. As for KIPP Bold City, they will be playing in front of their home fans against San Jose Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
