Football Game Preview: St. Croix Lutheran vs. St. Paul Central

St. Croix Lutheran will look to defend their home turf on Friday against St. Paul Central at 7:00 PM. St. Croix Lutheran are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the game prepared for a fight.

St. Croix Lutheran suffered a grim 13-35 defeat to St. Paul Academy/Minnehaha Academy/Blake last Friday. St. Croix Lutheran were down by 6-28 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, St. Paul Central narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Washburn 22-20. The success made it back-to-back wins for St. Paul Central.

St. Paul Central's victory lifted them to 2-0 while St. Croix Lutheran's loss dropped them down to 0-2. We'll find out if St. Paul Central can add another positive mark to their record or if St. Croix Lutheran can shake off the loss and take the spring out of St. Paul Central's step.
