Basketball Recap: Ridgway Takes a Loss

Ridgway was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 54-31 to the Kane Wolves. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Elker this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 48-35 back in December of 2024.

Kane was led to victory by Addison Haight and Isabella Saf. Haight went 8 for 17 en route to 23 points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals, while Saf posted 17 points along with five boards and three steals. The contest was Haight's 15th in a row with at least ten points. Alexa Olmstead was another key player, putting up two points and three blocks.

Ridgway's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Kane, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Ridgway will take on Smethport at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Kane, they will square off against Clarion Area at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Kane is facing Clarion Area at the right time seeing as Clarion Area is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
