Baseball Recap: Oregon Takes a Loss

Oregon extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 4-17-1. They lost 16-3 to the North Boone Vikings. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 25-10 on Tuesday.

As for North Boone, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-14. Considering they have won 11 matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

For North Boone's part, Max Bartlett made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave Bartlett a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one run.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oregon will challenge Amboy at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for North Boone, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Dakota at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
