MacArthur faced Maret in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Mammoths fell just short of the Frogs by a score of 3-2. The Mammoths' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

MacArthur actually scored more points across those five sets (112-110), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 30-28, 23-25, 17-25, 25-22, 15-12.

MacArthur's defeat dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Maret, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. MacArthur will welcome Bell at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Griffins have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Maret, they will be playing at home against Sidwell Friends at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
