Ferndale had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 50-19 win over the Round Valley Mustangs. The victory continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won six in a row.

Michaela Ellsmore had an outrageously good game as she posted 18 points in addition to six assists and six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Tinnley Pidgeon, who had seven points along with seven assists and five rebounds.

Having lost for the first time this season, Round Valley fell to 2-1.

Ferndale has already played their next game, a 68-44 win against Cloverdale on the 5th. As for Round Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 41-24 loss against Calistoga on the 5th.
