Football Recap: Valley Falls Comes Up Short Despite Grady Smith's Big Defensive Game

Valley Falls lost against Oskaloosa back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Dragons took an 18-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bears.

Valley Falls didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Grady Smith.

Valley Falls' loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Oskaloosa, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Valley Falls is taking a road trip to square off against Atchison County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Oskaloosa, they will host Jefferson County North on Friday.
