Basketball Recap: Central Valley Takes a Loss

Central Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a hard 52-38 fall against the Anderson Cubs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cubs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 70-29 back in January.

Anderson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Taylor Ford, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 24 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Ford has scored at least a third of Anderson's points. Renna Shriner was another key player, dropping a double-double with 17 points and 19 boards.

Central Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 4-19. As for Anderson, their win bumped their record up to 14-12.

Central Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 61-27 loss against University Prep on the 11th. As for Anderson, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 57-45 defeat against West Valley on the 11th.
