Basketball Recap: Apostles Lutheran Takes a Loss

Apostles Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 13-8 heartbreaker at the hands of the East Palo Alto Academy Bulldogs. The Falcons lost against the Bulldogs in their previous head to head back in December of 2019, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 60-13 score last time.

Hally Zou was Apostles Lutheran's leading scorer, having posted five points. Zou also led the team in rebounds with nine.

East Palo Alto Academy can attribute much of their success to Perla Sanchez, who posted five points.

Apostles Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for East Palo Alto Academy, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-12.

As of now, neither Apostles Lutheran nor East Palo Alto Academy have any future games scheduled.
