Baseball Recap: Vidalia Heritage Academy's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Vidalia Heritage Academy hadn't done well against First Preparatory Christian Academy recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Eagles blew past the Highlanders 7-1. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Eagles as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

Trevor White spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up 11 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Juddson Wilkes was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. RJ Wells was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

Vidalia Heritage Academy's win bumped their record up to 9-11. As for First Preparatory Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-16.

Vidalia Heritage Academy has already played their next matchup, a 7-2 loss against John Milledge Academy on the 21st. As for First Preparatory Christian Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Coastal HomeSchool at 4:00 p.m. on the 29th.
