Volleyball Recap: Bethany Christian Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Bethany Christian can now relate to. They came up short against the Lakewood Park Christian Panthers on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Bruins have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Lakewood Park Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Vanessa Crider led the charge by getting 18 digs. Crider is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Malin Bartkowiak, who had six aces and three digs.

Bethany Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 4-21. As for Lakewood Park Christian, their record is now 16-10.

Bethany Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lakewood Park Christian, they will square off against Lakeland Christian Academy at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
