Baseball Recap: Fellowship Christian Comes Up Short

On Friday, the Fellowship Christian Paladins came up short against the Whitewater Wildcats and fell 5-2. The loss was the Paladins' first of the season.

Fellowship Christian got a good showing from Jack Dart, who tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave Dart a new career-high in strikeouts (three).

On the hitting side, Fellowship Christian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trummie Patrick, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. James Sharp also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Fellowship Christian fell to 3-1. As for Whitewater, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Fellowship Christian will head out to challenge Tucker at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Whitewater, they will welcome Northgate at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Whitewater's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Northgate's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
