Soccer Game Preview: Jasper County vs. Creekside Christian Academy

The Jasper County Hurricanes will take on the Creekside Christian Academy Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Jasper County lost 4-1 to Union Grove on Tuesday. Jasper County have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Their goal came courtesy of Juan Garcia Saldana, who's now up to nine this season.

Meanwhile, Creekside Christian Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was Konos Academy who was credited with the victory. The Condor got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to Creekside Christian Academy's one.

Jasper County's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Creekside Christian Academy, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-4-1.

Everything went Jasper County's way against Creekside Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as Jasper County made off with a 3-0 win. Will the Hurricanes repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
