Softball Recap: Telfair County Takes a Loss

After flying high against Johnson County on Wednesday, Telfair County came back down to earth. The Trojans fell just short of the Clinch County Panthers by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-3 back in August.

Telfair County has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season. As for Clinch County, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Telfair County will face off against Bleckley County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clinch County, they will square off against Wheeler County at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Panthers 3.5, the Bulldogs 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
