Simpson Academy waltzed into their contest on Saturday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. Everything went their way against the Newton County Academy Generals as they made off with a 12-3 victory. The Cougars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Generals, too.

Simpson Academy's win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Newton County Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Simpson Academy will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Briarfield Academy at 12:30 p.m. As for Newton County Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Laurel Christian at 6:30 p.m. on the 28th.
