Basketball Recap: West Mifflin Comes Up Short

West Mifflin came up into this matchup off a tough 32-point defeat last Monday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Greensburg Salem Golden Lions by a score of 41-39 on Thursday. The Titans just can't catch a break and have now endured six losses in a row.

Blessing Gantt went supernova for Greensburg Salem, going 7 for 10 to rack up 20 points and five boards. What's more, Gantt also posted a 70% shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Regan Kerr, who posted seven points and six rebounds.

West Mifflin's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Greensburg Salem, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-8.

West Mifflin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Greensburg Salem, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Plum at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
