Soccer Recap: Summit Academy Comes Up Short

Summit Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against the Mountain View Bruins, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, Summit Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah soccer rankings (they are ranked 96th, while Mountain View are ranked 23rd).

Summit Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Mountain View, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-3.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Summit Academy is set to square off against their familiar foe Uintah at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mountain View will challenge rival Orem at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
