Soccer Game Preview: Samueli Academy vs. Pacifica Christian/Orange County

Samueli Academy is 0-10 against Pacifica Christian/Orange County since February of 2016 but things could change on Tuesday. The Samueli Academy Firewolves will be playing at home against the Pacifica Christian/Orange County Tritons. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Samueli Academy fell victim to Santa Ana Valley and their airtight defense back in December of 2024. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Falcons an easy 3-0 victory.

Meanwhile, Pacifica Christian/Orange County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were one goals away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Western Christian. While losing is never fun, the Tritons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 311th, while the Fighting Lancers are ranked 128th).

Pacifica Christian/Orange County's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6-2. As for Samueli Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6-2.

Samueli Academy might still be hurting after the 8-0 defeat they got from Pacifica Christian/Orange County in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Can Samueli Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
