Softball Recap: Lafayette Takes a Loss

After flying high against Falls City last Thursday, Lafayette came back down to earth. The Fighting Irish lost 16-1 to the Carrollton Trojans on Saturday. The defeat continues a trend for the Fighting Irish in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost three in a row.

Lafayette's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Carrollton, their victory bumped their record up to 16-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lafayette will challenge Stanberry at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Carrollton, they will take on Slater at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
