Basketball Recap: Eisenhower Comes Up Short

Eisenhower was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 37-31 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cajon Cowboys. The Eagles were not able to make up for their loss to the Cowboys from their previous meeting back in November of 2023.

Cajon's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jasmine Jackson, who posted 16 points in addition to six steals and five rebounds. Jackson is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Santoyo, who put up seven points along with ten rebounds and five steals.

Eisenhower's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Cajon, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eisenhower and Indian Springs will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Cajon will take on Irvine in a holiday battle at at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
