Baseball Game Preview: Jersey Panthers vs. Waterloo Bulldogs

For the second straight game, Jersey will face off against Waterloo. The Panthers will welcome the Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Jersey 3.6, Waterloo 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.

On Monday, Jersey came up short against Waterloo and fell 4-1.

For Waterloo's part, Caden Castello looked comfortable as he pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. The dominant performance also gave Castello a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

On the hitting side, Waylon Glaenzer was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Conrad Lindhorst was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

The victory (which was Waterloo's third in a row) raised their record to 16-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Jersey, their loss dropped their record down to 18-9.
