Softball Recap: Wayne Has No Trouble Against Ord

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Blair, Wayne was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Ord Chanticleers with a sharp 11-0 victory. The Blue Devils haven't had any issues with the Chanticleers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Kinnely McGuire was a standout: she went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Reagan McManigal was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one RBI.

Wayne was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .615. The last time their batting average was this high was back in September of 2024.

The victory got Wayne back to even at 1-1. As for Ord, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Wayne has already played their next matchup, a 6-5 win against Centura-Central Valley on the 23rd. As for Ord, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 14-8 victory against Ponca on the 23rd.
