The Jenkins Warriors will challenge the Treutlen Vikings at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
If Jenkins beats Treutlen with 17 runs on Wednesday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. Jenkins' pitcher stepped up to hand Johnson a 17-0 shutout on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Warriors sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Ronald Dunham made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.
In other batting news, Jenkins got a massive performance out of Charlie Stuart, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3. Stuart has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Marquis Bush, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Jenkins always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .815. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Treutlen put their dominant pitchers on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Montgomery County with a sharp 10-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.
Jack Walker was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Walker was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. He has become a key player for Treutlen: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 4-5 otherwise.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kylan Page, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-4. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Acie Dickens was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
Jenkins pushed their record up to 8-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Treutlen, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Jenkins has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 8.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Treutlen struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
