Baseball Recap: Centennial Comes Up Short

Centennial was the 10-6 winner over Urbana when they last played one another last Friday, but their luck changed this time around. The Chargers fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 7-6 on Wednesday.

Chris Miller was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with five stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Centennial: the team is 6-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-18 otherwise. Tate Sauer was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Centennial has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 13 of their last 16 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-20 record this season. As for Urbana, they moved to 6-23 with that win, which also ended their seven-game losing streak.
