Baseball Recap: Head-Royce Gets the Win

Head-Royce proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 12) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the St. Joseph Notre Dame Pilots 4-3. The win continues a trend for the Jayhawks in their matchups with the Pilots: they've now won four in a row.

Judah Forst was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2025. He was also solid in the batter's box, earning one run and two stolen bases.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ezra Goldfarb, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2025. Another player making a difference was Kaden Choi, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Head-Royce's record now sits at 16-6. As for St. Joseph Notre Dame, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.

Head-Royce has already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against El Cerrito on the 19th. St. Joseph Notre Dame does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
