Volleyball Recap: Lake Creek Comes Up Short

Lake Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. John's Mavericks.

Despite the loss, Lake Creek saw an underclassman step up: freshman Sutton Breck Tessier had six digs and two aces.

Lake Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for St. John's, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

Lake Creek wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Eagle Mountain on the 30th. As for St. John's, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Friendswood on the 30th.
