Soccer Game Preview: Balboa vs. Mission

The Balboa Buccaneers will face off against the Mission Bears at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Balboa is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Washington on Friday. Both finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, Mission was not able to break out of their rough patch back in December of 2024 as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Balboa an easy 4-0 victory. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Bears couldn't quite close it out.

Mission's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. Balboa's draw makes their record 5-2-1 this season.

Everything went Balboa's way against Mission in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as Balboa made off with a 4-0 win. Does Balboa have another victory up their sleeve, or will Mission turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
