Rutgers Prep has gone a perfect 4-0 against Princeton Day recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Argonauts will take on the Panthers in a tournament on Tuesday. Rutgers Prep is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.
Rutgers Prep came out on top against Dayton on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run seventh inning. The Argonauts had just enough and edged out the Bulldogs 8-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Argonauts have posted since April 1st.

Anuj Bandireddy looked comfortable as he pitched 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2025.
At the plate, Rutgers Prep got a massive performance out of Alex Perez, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddox Chu, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.
Rutgers Prep kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Princeton Day was able to grind out a solid victory over Morristown-Beard on Friday, taking the game 4-1.
Princeton Day has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-12 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Rutgers Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 14-5.
Rutgers Prep was able to grind out a solid win over Princeton Day in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, winning 7-3. Do the Argonauts have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
