Soccer Recap: Benedictine Comes Up Short

If Benedictine was riding high fresh off their 5-1 takedown of Warner Robins last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Benedictine Cadets came up short against the Perry Panthers on Friday, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, the Cadets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 171st, while the Panthers are ranked fifth).

Benedictine's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Perry, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.

Coming up, Benedictine will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Ware County at 6:00 p.m. As for Perry, they will head out to challenge Wayne County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wayne County will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each match than the last.
