Softball Recap: Newnan Comes Up Short

Newnan lost against Northside back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Cougars came up short against the Patriots, falling 15-4.

Khloe Walker made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. Riley Gray also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Newnan's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Northside, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Newnan will host Morrow at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northside, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Columbus at 5:00 p.m. The Blue Devils have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.75 runs per game on average), something the Patriots will no doubt try to take advantage of.
