Soccer Game Preview: Foothill vs. Amador Valley

The Foothill Falcons are taking a road trip to square off against the Amador Valley Dons at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Tuesday, it was close, but Foothill sidestepped California for a 3-2 win.

Meanwhile, Amador Valley was able to grind out a solid victory over Dougherty Valley on Tuesday, taking the game 3-1. Given the Dons' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 140th, while the Wildcats are ranked 543rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Amador Valley hit Dougherty Valley with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Keira Barker, Alden Hofstede, and Addison Stout.

Foothill's record is now 7-3-4. As for Amador Valley, their record is now 6-3.

Foothill came up short against Amador Valley in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 2-0. Can Foothill avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
