It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Taylor County had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Trion Bulldogs 2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Vikings sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Taylor County's win bumped their record up to 26-3. As for Trion, they moved to 19-7 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Coming up, Taylor County will face off against Lanier County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Vikings 2.1, the Bulldogs 2.2) so any runs scored will be well earned. Trion does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
