South Cobb is a perfect 4-0 against Douglas County since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The South Cobb Eagles will square off against the Douglas County Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

South Cobb is leaving town to face Douglas County after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. South Cobb fell just short of Carrollton by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The matchup was a 2-2 toss-up at halftime, but the Eagles couldn't quite close it out.

Douglas County kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was Trinity Christian who was credited with the win. Trinity Christian got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to Douglas County's four.

South Cobb was able to grind out a solid victory over Douglas County when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 4-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for South Cobb since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
