Soccer Recap: Tranquillity Comes Up Short

If Tranquillity was feeling good fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Laton on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers fell just short of the Firebaugh Eagles by a score of 3-2 on Friday. Tranquillity were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Firebaugh earlier this season, when they won 1-0.

Jastelin Berber and Alison Barajas scored both of Tranquillity's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 34 goals.

Tranquillity's loss dropped their record down to 10-10-3. As for Firebaugh, they moved to 12-6-2 with that victory, which also ended their three-match losing streak.

Coming up, Tranquillity will head out on the road to challenge Dos Palos at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Tranquillity are facing Dos Palos at the right time seeing as Dos Palos are stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Firebaugh, they will be playing at home against Avenal at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
