Football Recap: Fairmont Heights Skates Past Douglass with Ease + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Fairmont Heights, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They claimed a resounding 31-0 victory over the Douglass Mighty Ducks. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Hornets just coasted through the last quarter.

Fairmont Heights had a senior duo take command as Jamari Myers threw for 282 yards and three TDs on only 17 passes and Ivan Richardson picked up 128 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Fairmont Heights was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 240 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Douglass only rushed for 114 rushing yards.

The win got Fairmont Heights back to even at 1-1. As for Douglass, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Fairmont Heights will square off against Gwynn Park at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Hornets their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Douglass, they will challenge Benjamin Franklin at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
