Softball Recap: Maud Comes Up Short

Maud was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 12-0 to the Byng Pirates.

Maud's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Byng, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Looking ahead, Maud will face off against Wewoka at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Wewoka has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18.25 runs per game on average), something Maud will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Byng, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Caddo on the 22nd.
