It was a good run, but South unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell 57-46 to the Cerritos Dons. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Spartans came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 134th, while the Dons are ranked 433rd).

South's loss dropped their record down to 16-10. As for Cerritos, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-15.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South will head out to face off against El Segundo at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cerritos, they will head out on the road to square off against Oxford Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
