University Prep won the last time they faced Yreka and things went their way on Tuesday too. The University Prep Panthers simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Yreka Miners 66-35. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 107th, while the Miners are ranked 545th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Yreka's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bella Patino, who posted two points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexis Dryg, who put up six points and five boards.

University Prep pushed their record up to 19-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 23 points. As for Yreka, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-13.

University Prep has already played their next match, a 73-46 victory against Lassen on the 10th. As for Yreka, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 65-50 loss against West Valley on the 10th.
