Basketball Recap: Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast Catholic Comes Up Short

Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast Catholic lost against Conwell-Egan Catholic back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast Catholic Friars/Pandas received a blow as they fell 54-37 to the Conwell-Egan Catholic Eagles. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Friars/Pandas came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 41st, while the Eagles are ranked 246th).

This is the second loss in a row for Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast Catholic and nudges their season record down to 4-2. As for Conwell-Egan Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.

Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast Catholic will be home for the holidays to greet Merion Mercy Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Conwell-Egan Catholic, they will venture away from home to square off against Abington at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
