Basketball Recap: Franklin Comes Up Short

Franklin lost against Sheldon back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Franklin Wildcats took a 54-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sheldon Huskies. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sheldon found their leader in freshman Saniah Wiley, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Wiley has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last ten times she's played. Brooklin Kimmons was another key player, putting up 18 points.

Franklin's loss dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Sheldon, they pushed their record up to 15-10 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Elk Grove the next time they take the court. Franklin will host Elk Grove at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while Sheldon will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on February 12th.
